World War 1: A war that took place in Europe that lasted from 1914-1918 that started with the assassination of archduke Franz Ferdinand and involved the countries, Great Britain, Russia, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Serbia, United States, Bulgaria, Turkey and Austria-Hungary.

Treaty Of Versailles: The treaty that ended World War 1, which would soon lead up to World War 2, blamed all of the war on Germany and forced them to waken their military, pay for the damages of World War 1 and took their resources and land.

Great Depression: A period where a lot of world fell into a depression of their economies, resulting from World War 1, started from 1920's and moved onto even the 1930's.

New Deal: A plan made by President Wilson to solve the depression in the United States, helped increase the economy in the United States, led to creating more jobs, involved with the government.

Fascism: A political point of view that took part in a lot of West European countries after World War 1, but stuck in Italy and Germany, due to the results of World War 1, focused on nationalism, acting as a country, one, pressing violence against the enemies and usually ruled by a dictator.

Mussolini: Leader of the fascist part in Italy, controlled Italy for 21 years, defeated in World War 2, formed an alliance with Hitler and his Nazi Germany and looked to build Italy into an empire.

Nazi Germany/Hitler: The party led by Hitler in Germany that was focused on fascism and socialism, responsible for the Holocaust, tried to expand the German Empire during the reign of Hitler and this party, blamed Jews and other minorities for what happened during World War 1.

Revolutionary Right (Japan): In Japan, a movement where everything was focused on Nationalism and expansion, they thought they were the best, brought back the emperor and the reign.

World War 2 In Asia: Japan expanded its boundaries, invaded China, and other nearby Asian countries, became dominant in Asia, but went too far when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and so they had to fight against the United States in Asia and the pacific islands, leading the the 2 atomic bombs being dropped on Japan and the surrender of Japan.

World War 2 In Europe: Started when Germany expanded its borders and formed a military, Germany expanded to small countries and then started to expand more and more after War was called on them, making Italy come to their aid while many in Europe tried to stop them, but they were finally stopped after they were pressed by both sides, Eastern and Western front.

Total War: A term used for war when a country is at war and everyone is affected, both the civilians and soldiers, bombs were dropped onto cities involved and then factories and things being changed to suit the war, such as weapon factories. Included destroying enemy resources and killing off their civilians, rather than just their army.

Holocaust: Nazi program/ activity that involved the massacre of Jews and other minorities the Nazis blamed for the results of World War 1, killed about 6 million Jews and 2 million other minorities, to create a "better" race and place for the future of Germany.

European Economic Community: A program/ activity that promoted trade between the nations of Europe and other nations in effort to make a better and stronger economy after the World Wars, and with the help of the United States it happened.
